In order to meet the high requirements of high quality steel grades, steelworks must have a highly effective production process. However, at every step of the steel making process, the equipment is subjected to severe wear: abrasion, corrosion, impact, thermal fatigue, metal to metal friction, etc. This wear can be counteracted through maintenance and repair welding with hardfacing cored wires, strip cladding and stick electrodes. From raw material handling to sintering to continuous casting and hot or cold rolling, all areas affected by wear can be repaired using customized overlay welding solutions.
